Realizing that man cannot subsist on pastry alone and previously impressed by the cheeses at Cowgirl Creamery in the Ferry Plaza Market I stopped by Sidekick early on a Saturday morning to grab a breakfast sandwich simply titled Mt. Tam and Ham, ostensibly containing the company’s signature triple cream cheese and pork on a soft Acme roll…plus an inordinately large dollop of unadvertised mustard that rendered the entire $5 sandwich inedible when I discovered the tragedy a half our later en route to my morning conference at the Moscone Center; hopefully the homeless gentleman in the San Jose Sharks hat on Bush Street found it more palatable than I.
