Recently celebrating two years serving Sin City it was on the strength of prior office lunches that The Coffee Class was called on to cater Friday, and just like last time Kyle Cunningham’s concept showed off its ability to please diners of varying backgrounds, ages and preferences including allergies or intolerances.
Coordinated and delivered by Chef Beth Ryan-Small, delayed arrival due to a new delivery person worthy of mention, it was not long before an abundance of trays were arranged, Beth’s newest Poptarts immediately commanding attention thanks to Tropical flavors or Roasted Bananas and Booze that harken NOLA’s famous Dessert despite being 100% Vegan.
Next taking a look at peerless Buttermilk Biscuits and Blondies, the later now on the menu and dazzling in terms of taste with added texture from Candied Cornflakes, those eschewing Gluten will be happy to know The Coffee Class also offers the Valley’s best Brownie that is crisp on the edge but gooey inside with three types of Chocolate and zero Wheat Protein.
Continuing on with Sandwiches, a half-dozen pressed-Paninis currently highlighted by Ham and Fig, it is actually smoked Cheddar that truly raises the bar while grilled Chicken gets an upgrade from housemade Tomato Jam and Garlic-Herb Butter.
Lightening lunch with Fruit, Salad and Avocado Toast, but certainly not forgetting Beth’s Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie or an Archway-style Raspberry Thumbprint, suffice it to say The Coffee Class’ French Toast continues to offer “destination-worthy” decadence thanks to Crème Brulee thoroughly saturating buttery Brioche – and this time the tantalizing addition of Blueberries plus Cream Cheese.
N/A: Making it blog policy to not ‘rate’ places based on catering alone, this lunch from The Coffee Class was unequivocally successful from Ingredients and presentation to cost and timeliness – exactly as one would hope from what might just be the city’s best under-the-radar experience.
