Proud to have put over $38,000 in the pockets of local business since May of 2018 it was kicking-off #supportlocal 2019 that Naked City Pizza was called upon Wednesday, owner Chris Palmeri not only making but delivering the meal complete with plates, utensils plus boxes for leftovers…and even doing so fifteen minutes early.
Now the third time catering to an office on West Warm Springs, a building not exactly close to any of Naked City Pizza’s five locations, it was nonetheless with everything temperature appropriate that first-lunchers called dibs on choice Slices, Pepperoni predictably proving popular atop melted Mozzarella and housemade Sauce with plenty of Herbs, as did plump Chicken Wings tossed in Hot Sauce by the Buffalo-native Chef who has no worries of losing his right to visit home since all fifty were gone within minutes.
Additionally sending Grandma Palmeri’s Meatballs with Garlic Buns plus extra Sauce for dipping, the springy orbs featuring almost zero filler easily among Sin City’s best, it is those same Meatballs that are sliced and used to top Naked City’s famous Guinea Pie along with creamy Garlic Sauce and Ricotta, though for those seeking something truly unique Naked City’s “Back Home Pie” is equally worth checking out as Sauce and Cheese are blended to create a completely different texture topped in housemade Sausage plus crispy cups of Pepperoni.
Not overlooking Salads, the housemade Caesar, Ranch and Blue Cheese Dressings all attesting to a place not fond of shortcuts, it was by request that Dessert was brought from Chris’ brother Michael at the El Cortez Hotel, his recent baking experiments having produced “Cherry-Lemon-Ricotta Loaf” that eats like Coffee Cake with more levity and plenty of Citrus wrapped around pockets of stewed Fruit.
N/A: Making it blog policy to not ‘rate’ places based on catering alone there is a reason Naked City Pizza has been serving Sin City for nearly a decade, and so long as Christopher and Michael continue to work as hard as they always have there is little doubt that any order will delight a crowd whether at the Shop or delivered.
