Arguably The Venetian’s busiest eatery more than three years since opening, fair prices and Social Media savvy combined with good service undoubtedly part of Black Tap’s appeal, it was Saturday that two guests took a seat outdoors to enjoy April’s monthly specials.
Quieter on the patio than inside, a thirty minute wait for guests without reservations seeing all allowable tables filled, it was while 90’s Hip-Hop played that lunch began with a bowl of melted Cheese and Pico, nothing particularly “zesty” but both flavor and texture enjoyable.
Comfortable in the shade, masked bussers and disposable menus just part of several safety measures, entrees included Chef Isidori’s “All American Burger” cooked medium to showcase good Beef with minimal accoutrement plus all-new “Nashville Hot Chicken” that is really nothing like Hattie B’s or Prince’s but enormous and delicious with an ample amount of heat.
Happy to chow down on Fries that are crisp, hot and appropriately salted, plus thick-cut Onion Rings with lightly adherent Batter, dessert entailed two Shakes, Carrot Cake very much like a liquefied version of its namesake while The Golden Knights CrazyShake is great for fans as well as those who simply want to have their Shake and eat some Cake, too.
FOUR STARS: Although many will argue that there is nothing quite like a classic Burger it would be hard to claim Black Tap is not dedicated to their craft, a Patty of Prime Beef the base to several fun concoctions supported by a good Bun while the eye-candy Shakes are silly but delicious, and backed by great service.
RECOMMENDED: All American Burger, Carrot Cake Shake, Idaho Fries
AVOID: Queso & Chips is decidedly average.
