Presumably owned by French ex-pats, at least judging by accents, La Fournée occupies a space along Avenida Tulum and serves a concise menu of Breakfasts, Sandwiches, Bread and Coffee.
Open from 7am Sunday through Friday, with a patio in back proving popular in the shade, it is at prices ranging 35-50 pesos that guests are invited to indulge in Pastry, though early Friday found little to love amongst a poorly laminated Croissant or flaccid Rolls, the lone saving grace a decidedly “un-French” buttery Banana Cake.
