Located in Mercado de la Paz, with Chef Lola Cuerda frequently at the stove, Casa Dani is not rarely the answer to questions regarding Spain’s best Tortilla, both locals and tourists filling both Bar and Terrace daily for a taste of the Omelette and more.
Not merely a matter of Onions or not, though in the case of Dani they are included alongside just Potatoes, Eggs, Salt and Oil, it is minutes after seating that most guests are presented with a plump wedge, its outside seared but the center not fully cooked and pooling such that it can be sopped up by Bread.
Sweeter and somehow lighter than others, no doubt a result of experience, the rest of Casa Dani’s chalkboard reads like a who’s who of classics, both Chorizo with some snap and crumbly Blood Sausage given a proper sear and served piping hot with piles of fried Potatoes.
