Debuted in 2017 Botolino from Carlo Gattini has been impressing denizens of Dallas ever since, a second location at Preston Royal Village expanding the third generation Gelato maker’s reach in winter 2020.
Classically trained beginning with his Grandmother, later the masters of Italy, Carlo’s Gelato starts with a pure base and traditional methods, the addition of locally and Internationally-sourced Ingredients eschewing anything artificial – including preservatives.
Always fresh with small batches made daily, a clean white layout building an aesthetic similar to those in Milan, Samples should precede ordering, Gattini “White Coffee” beautifully balancing bitter with Sugar while Coconut Stracciatella is an innovative take on the classic that tastes like a more-natural Mounds Bar.
Also offering Cakes and Beverages, plus Waffle Cones made on-site, passing on Mascarpone and Figs was a tough decision but to not do so would have meant missing out on more bites of toasty Texas Pecan or Sicilian Pistachios rightly given the title of “Don.”
