Having already written of Bronze Café at The Market Catering twice and happy to recommend their downtown Restaurant to anyone seeking a great Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner it was again by David Mozes that delivery occurred on Wednesday, the assumption that most would get their share of processed sugar at various Halloween gatherings making a healthy #supportlocal afternoon all the more relevant, though that certainly did not mean passing up on Pastries.
Now surviving two years inside Tony Hsieh’s misguided “Market,” ongoing renovations doing nothing to lessen the ingredient quality or Chef Peter Bastien’s ability to create delicious Food that remains mindful of dietary preferences including Gluten Free and Vegan, it was largely in Sammiches previously enjoyed that $15 per attendee was invested, the LGBTQ always a favorite while Miss Piggy proves that Bacon makes almost anything better by placing crispy strips atop the already outstanding Green Goddess Chicken Salad.
Opting to try Bronze Café’s Hummus for the first time on this occasion, the aluminum foil swans full of Pita a cute touch while pureed Chickpeas sing thanks to the aromatics of Cumin and smoky Paprika, it was much to the delight of many that the Thai Peanut Salad was once again ordered while others quickly dove into the daily Vegan Cheesecake this time made with Oreo Cookies and an Agave-sweetened Crust of Nuts and Seeds.
Getting creative with EZCater to make some additional requests, only a fraction of Peter’s Cookies offered via the platform, it was here too that tastes were entrusted to old favorites, a special request for Bronze Café’s Carrot Cake seeing all four squares quickly gone with many calling them the “best ever” while Cinnamon Chocolate Monkey Bread that takes well to microwaving was also popular, though still not as downright delicious as The Peanut Butter-Snickerdoodle Cookie which somehow seemed even better this time thanks to more chopped nuts amidst the Cinnamon-Sugar dusted Batter.
N/A: Making it blog policy to not ‘rate’ places based on catering alone Bronze Café at The Market nonetheless deserves top marks for always coming up big with their Organic Greens and Sammiches plus great Hummus and Desserts any savvy diner gladly take over candy 365-days a year.
