Always happy to #supportlocal with an office favorite, CRAFTkitchen once again catered lunch on Thursday, Tami Blinn and a sous Chef predictably arriving early with all the necessary items and this time presenting attendees with “Breakfast for Lunch” for the second time.
Previously taking on Mexican and Asian themes, but this time squarely in the Henderson hot-spot’s wheelhouse, it was entirely from CRAFTkitchen’s COVID-19 Phase Two menu that nine items were presented, savories starting with crispy Tortilla Chips topped in housemade Hatch Chile Verde, Beans and Eggs while two-bite Avocado Toasts were a big hit beneath Seeds and Greens.
Always well-portioned and fair-priced, a group of twenty-five getting their fill with plenty of leftovers packed to-go, it was alongside these that guests enjoyed a loaded Cobb Salad plus sweet & spicy Fried Chicken that normally comes with CRAFTkitchen’s miniature Waffles, though not to be forgotten was signature Short Rib Hash that tastes just as good from a temperature controlled tray as it does on-site.
Now featuring a “Breakfast Family Meal” Pancake Bar on the menu, several additions and Topping in this case featuring fluffy Buttermilk Rounds, Whipped Cream and Fruit, sweets continued with three flavors of Kouign Amann, the Pastry itself buttery amidst a light crunch while centers were filled with Berry Compote, Salty Caramel or Ube with Toasted Coconut.
N/A: Making it blog policy to not ‘rate’ places based on catering alone CRAFTkitchen has always gone the extra mile to assure off-site dining is every bit as delicious as inside the Restaurant on South Eastern, and although it is fun to get creative sometimes this Breakfast-for-Lunch sampling was a generous reminder of what makes Jaret and Tami’s place great to begin with.
RECOMMENDED: Chilaquiles, Short Rib Hash, Chicken & What, Ube Kouign Amann, Sea Salt Caramel Kouign Amann.
AVOID: N/A.
TIP: See the website for sample catering items, Family Meals and current menu, or contact the Restaurant directly with a budget and let them do what they do best.
